PLIVA’s New Donation in Bosnia and Herzegovina – A Valuable Device for the General Hospital in Sarajevo
PLIVA donated a video gastroscope worth KM 45,000 to the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital in Sarajevo. Ivan Gregov, Director of PLIVA’s Branch Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented PLIVA’s donation to Prof. Sebija Izetbegović, PhD, Hospital Manager.
“PLIVA has traditionally supported healthcare institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Reaffirming its wish to build true partnership, it decided to donate this gastroscope to the "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš" General Hospital. The video gastroscope is intended for gastrointestinal diagnostic procedures and gastrointestinal interventions, and its performances will improve diagnostics and considerably enhance treatment at the Internal Medicine Ward”, said Ivan Gregov, Director of PLIVA’s Branch Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also expressed his hope that PLIVA’s donation would serve as an example of corporate social responsibility to other companies and institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This donation means a lot to us, especially given the fact that the General Hospital in Sarajevo is a strategic healthcare institution for secondary and, partly, tertiary healthcare services. Furthermore, a great number of patients, not only from the Sarajevo Canton but from across Bosnia and Herzegovina, gravitates towards this hospital”, said Prof. Sebija Izetbegović, Ph.D., Hospital Manager, thanking PLIVA for its donation.
